Living in the castle with wonderful hosts
A wonderful chateau with sensitively renovated rooms; the original or authentic furniture and decoration as well as the beautiful gardens show the sensitive sense of the owners to preserve the listed building accordingly and to offer guests an unforgettable stay. This is particularly underlined by the incredible hospitality of the castle owner couple, who can also provide great excursion and restaurant tips at any time.
Fantastic breakfast (with which every extra wish is gladly fulfilled), spacious rooms ("apartments" with several bedrooms, bathroom, small kitchen and living/dining room) and the entire castle complex with many outdoor seating, lawns and garden areas as well as historic forest paths offer pure relaxation.
An absolute dream destination....we will come back.

Relaxing Normandy Getaway
Hospitable and historic atmosphere in an uncrowded and beautiful region of France. Quirky yet charming chateau with generous sized rooms, good breakfast and endlessly helpful hosts. Very dog friendly . Good location for exploring the cape area of Normandy.

Normandy stop
On our trip to Normandy we decided to take the opportunity to stay in a chateau. Great choice very quiet location. The owners were fantastic! They made use right at home. When you go up the stairs it feels like you should have a sword in your hand instead of a suitcase. The rooms were fantastic. The suite we were in had a beautiful kitchen. Breakfast was delicious. Towards the end the owner came out and visited. Wish we had invited them to eat with us, the conversation was great, very interesting. Highly recommended staying here if you can.

Great night at Château Le Val!
A very original, timeless night in this superb castle! Very welcoming, warm and caring owners! This piece of 16th century heritage is really well maintained and restored! Our accommodation "Bellevue" consisted of two bedrooms each with a double bed and a single bed, a living room, an equipped kitchen, a bathroom, all nicely decorated in the period. Wi-Fi is available as is parking on site. The breakfast is very good and very generous! In short, a magnificent building in which to live, for a night, like lords!

Delightful
Much easier to find outside Cherbourg this was a lovely overnight stop. A quite beautiful big house and garden made it delightful and guaranteed that we will return when it is Spring or Autumn. Large bedroom, very comfortable bed and an adequate bath/shower. Excellent hosts Irene and Uwe phoned around and got us a satisfactory dinner in mid February on a wet Tuesday night. Breakfast was served in front of a large log fire in a well furnished dinning room and was included in a reasonable price for accommodation. I had undergone a heart procedure only days and a quiet historic place like this was perfect.
