Centrally located hotel, very close to train station. Nice design inside hotel and clean and comfortable. Good to have kettle in the room and good heating system also. Friendly and helpful staff, good price also

TO VOMIT

NOTHING. TERRIBLE EVERYTHING, DON'T BE FOOLED AND CHECK OUT GOOGLE REVIEWS FIRST. IT'S CLOSE TO THE STATION, YES, BUT DON'T SPEND YOUR SAVINGS OR FAMILY ILLUSION. DIRT, PLAGUE, WE WERE DEFRAUDED ON CHRISTMAS DAY 4 PEOPLE ONE OF THEM MINOR. WE MEET ON THE STREET, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. BEDS WITH HAIR FROM PREVIOUS STAYS , SHOWERS WITH HAIR AND SHEETS WITH SPOTS OF DOUBTFUL IDENTITY. READ EVERYTHING WELL!!! NOT AN ACE OF SHAME. VERIFY!!! WE HAD TO LEAVE WITHOUT AN OVERNIGHT STAY, BUT PEOPLE WHO WERE EVEN LEFT SHOWERING WITH COLD WATER.
GOOGLE REVIEWS, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO LIKE US COMPLAIN ABOUT THE BAD SMELL AND STAINS ON THE CARPETS AND ALREADY A YEAR AGO THEY ANSWERED THAT THEY WOULD CHANGE THEM!!!!!!! WELL, THEY'RE STILL THERE A YEAR LATER, DIRTY AND PLAGUEFUL.
WE'VE TRAVELED MANY PLACES, INCLUDING IN SHARED HOSTELS, WHICH HAVE BEEN AUSTERE, BUT THIS IS NOT AUSTERITY, THIS IS DISGUSTING.
THE HOTEL'S ADDRESS ISN'T EVEN ON THE PHONE, HAVING BEEN TELEPHONED NUMEROUS TIMES, INCLUDING FROM LEGAL COUNSEL.
WE HAVE TRIED IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY TO AVOID THIS UNPLEASANT SITUATION, BUT IT HAS BEEN IMPOSSIBLE.
LOOKING AT WHAT WE'VE SEEN, WE ONLY NEED TO HELP THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE THINKING OF GOING, BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE EXPOSING YOURSELVES TO.
WE JUST WANT THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT TO RECONSIDER THE POSSIBILITY OF DONATING THE AMOUNT OF OUR LOST MONEY AND DONATE IT TO AN NGO. FOR EXAMPLE DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS , UNICEF, GREENPEACE OR SOME OTHER YOU CONSIDER, AS IT IS NOT YOUR MONEY!!!
WE WOULD BE VERY HAPPY IF YOU SENT US PROOF.
THE AMOUNT IS 1955.10 EUROS PLUS 26 EUROS THAT MADE US PAY TOURIST TAX ON ARRIVAL AND THAT HAVE NOT REFUNDED EVEN HAVING NOT MADE USE OF THE ROOMS.
BY THE WAY, IN THIS WHOLE STORY BOOKING REGRETS WRITES US AND SEES ALL THE PHOTOS, ASSUMES IT'S TERRIBLE, BUT ONLY BRINGS US 293 EUROS IN REFUND, EVEN THOUGH IT'S GENIUS.
YOU CAN'T SAY IT WAS A GUARANTEE.

THE MANAGER TOLD US THAT WE WOULDN'T REVIEW ANYTHING BECAUSE THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT USED TO DISTURB YOU IF WE REVIEWED AND YOU WOULDN'T RETURN ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOMETHING BAD TEMPER.
SO WE DID. THESE EVENTS HAPPENED ON DECEMBER 25TH AND AS OF TODAY, JANUARY 10TH, ALL THEY TELL US IS THAT "WE DID NOT STAY BECAUSE WE DID NOT WANT TO", BASICALLY, AND THAT THEY OFFER US TWO OTHER ROOMS FOR 2025 OUTSIDE PARLIAMENTARY SESSIONS OR AT CHRISTMAS (PRECISELY CHRISTMAS, WHICH IS WHAT WE HIRED)
WE WOULDN'T EVER COME BACK, DONATE THE MONEY TO AN NGO MR. DIRECTOR!!!!

Lamentamos sinceramente esta situación.
He podido hablar con mis colegas de la recepción, quienes me informaron de los siguientes puntos:
- Cuando llegaron al hotel, les asignamos las habitaciones 407 y 408.
- Bajaron a la recepción 15 minutos más tarde porque las habitaciones no estaban lo suficientemente limpias.
- Fairouz verificó otras tres habitaciones: la 107, la 208 y la 406.
- Estas habitaciones estaban limpias (y eso también figura en mi informe de limpieza).
- Por lo tanto, les propusimos cambiar de habitación.
- Desafortunadamente, rechazaron el cambio de habitaciones.
Es cierto que cometimos un error en la limpieza de las habitaciones 407 y 408 (cabellos en el baño). Y les pedimos disculpas por ello.
Sin embargo, las habitaciones propuestas estaban en perfecto estado, y no entendemos por qué no aceptaron cambiarlas.
Más aún considerando que iban a quedarse cinco noches; incluso les habríamos encontrado otra habitación al día siguiente, antes de las llegadas previstas, si las habitaciones ofrecidas no les hubieran convencido (es comprensible que no guste una habitación por diversas razones).
Mis recepcionistas estaban y habrían estado a su disposición durante toda su estancia; pero entiendo que no lo desearan.
Por lo tanto, no procederemos al reembolso, ya que se ofrecieron soluciones adecuadas al problema de limpieza de las dos primeras habitaciones asignadas; pero estas soluciones no fueron aceptadas.
Dicho esto, y en un marco de buenas relaciones, les proponemos regresar gratuitamente al ClapClap en 2025 para una estancia de 5 noches y 2 habitaciones a su conveniencia (excepto durante el período del mercado de Navidad y las sesiones parlamentarias).

Not Far from the Train Station and the Old Town

This hotel is about an eight-minute walk from the train station and only a five-minute walk to the old town. It’s at the Faubourg National tram stop on a street that a bit gritty. The hotel’s unusual name is a reference to movie clapperboard and movies are a recurring theme. There are some theater chairs in the lobby. The hotel is in more than one building, so accessing your room many not be straightforward. To get to ours, we had to go through an interior courtyard. The hallways are dark. Our room was simple and cheerful, as pictured on the website. Having two chairs and a table was nice. No carpeting is hygienic. We stayed in December and it was very warm. Unfortunately, our room had no view. I’m not sure any rooms would have a view.

A so-so experience. The Hotel is in the city centre, so it is convenient to go everywhere. Our room faces the tram station so it is a bit noisy. The room was also too warm and we asked the staff two days in a row on how to adjust the temperature. The first day they said they will come to the room and follow up but did not show up. Another day they confidently said where the heating controller is located which was not true.

Between the train station & hypercentre

Fantastic boutique hotel. Absolutely well located & adorably decorated. Staff were pleasant, breakfast was great and the vibe was awesome in the evenings. Would stay again! Near the train station and La Petite France / Grand Rue. Close to tabac shops, grocery stores & many many restaurants and bars.
