Beautiful and outstanding hotel and facilities - Verno House - Budapest
cosy underfloor heating throughout.
exceptionally large freestanding bath with TV viewing, separate shower room and separate toilet and bidet - dressing robes provided.
electric curtains, free mini bar, 70" TV, welcome glass of wine, free spa entry,
good buffet and a la cartel breakfast menu, complimentary mineral water throughout the stay.
excellent location close to st stepson's basilica and the river, very quiet no through traffic.
staff exceptional, warm and welcoming.
my only fault is we couldn't stay any longer.
Highly recommended.

Smile, kind heart and there for the guest.
Had a tech issue with the AC, It was on hot all the time, we advised the front desk, in lesss than 15 min the head arrives and escorted us to the 3rd floor with an upgread room....
Can't stop writing good things about the front desk but to be honest, also the hospitality during breakfast in the restorant was nothing less.

Little things make a big difference!
The staff are very professional and friendly and the bar restaurant is of a high standard.
Unfortunately our room 307 had a very strong smell of drains coming from the bathroom, we reported it but alas the smell remained. Also when booking the description had a city view and a free standing bath listed bit our view was of the bank across the road and no bath, these are small points in comparison to the smell.
When checking out we were not asked how our stay was, so did not feedback to the reception staff directly.
I would look at staying somewhere else next time as we will definetly return to beautiful Budapest!

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your visit to Budapest, we are glad that you enjoyed the city, however, we honestly apologise for not delivering a truly pleasant experience. Most of our rooms are exactly the same within one category, however, differences regarding the bathroom might occur in a few cases.
Our team strive to meet expectations and accommodating request or preferences and we would have been happy to relocate your reservation to a different room if having a bathtub was a preference. We also honestly apologize for the technical issue that you encountered with the plumbing in your room. Our maintenance team is working on locating and fixing the issue to make sure that this will not cause any sort of discomfort and inconvenience to anyone in the future.
We also requested explanation from our kitchen and service staff why the buffet got closed earlier, because not serving anybody within the open hours of the restaurant is clearly not as sort of service we are aiming to provide to our guests and despite having the restaurant under different management, we deeply apologise for this event.
Last but not least, we appreciate the high scores you gave to our Housekeeping and Front Office team as they do their best to do their part in making every stay pleasant and comfortable, yet at the same time, our own standards were not met, as you were not asked about your stay.
We understand, that your recent experience was not the one you were expecting, however, in case you decide to book our property in the future, it would be our greatest pleasure to welcome you again and deliver a truly impeccable experience.
