Would definately stay here again when visiting Jaffa
שורה תחתונה - אנשי צוות מדהימים. היו לי מספר שיחות לברר לגבי המלון ותנאי ההזמנה, לפני וגם אחרי ההזמנה, וכולם בלי יוצא מהכלל היו אדיבים, מנומסים ונתנו לי מענה ענייני. זה לא ברור מאליו.
אז מה עוד ביקשתי? יש ארוחת ערב וארוחת צהרים (היינו בשבת). האוכל היה מגוון והיה בשפע. החדרים מרווחים ממוזגים ועם מרפסת. קומקום וקפה בחדר וגם כספת. יש מעלית שבת. יש פינות ישיבה, גם בקומה וגם בקומת כניסה ליד הלובי. ביקשנו להישאר עד מוצ"ש וזה התאפשר (תמורת תשלום נוסף). המיקום מדהים! מקווה שלא שכחתי לציין משהו.
I booked 4 rooms for 4 couples (friends). I made the reservation by phone and since some of my requests were to be together on the same floor (if possible, close to each other), the receptionist who made the reservation for me asked me to contact the reservation manager who usually only deals with group reservations.
Bottom line - amazing staff!! I had several calls to find out about the hotel and the conditions of the reservation, before and after the reservation, and everyone without exception was kind, polite and gave me a matter-of-fact answer. it is not obvious.
So what else did I ask for? Dinner and lunch (our stay was on Shabbat). The food was varied and plentiful. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and with a balcony. Kettle and coffee in the room and also a safe. There is a Shabbat lift. There are sitting areas, both on the our floor (5th) and near the lobby at the entrance. We asked to leave late (until Motze Shabbat) & it was possible (for an additional fee). The location is amazing!
Hope that I didn't forget to mention something.

A huge disappointment for humans.
I took my son to the middle of Mendel. I went out to Mendel's fort, a giant Mendel's yard and a small smoking corner.
What turns out to be the back of the hotel, there was no sign or sign that the corner belonged to the hotel.
Two hours later, two staff members of the hotel arrived.
And I coughed relatively heavily, so a lady turned to me and asked me not to cough, as if I hadn't grown, and so I explained to Gretsch, "She apologized."
She explained that this part belongs to the hotel.
I asked her if I couldn’t be there.
Anyway, I got up and left, and I'm assuming that the two Hennel women work there. So did the hotel, disappointed, and I haven't stayed at the hotel yet.
I've been insulted as a human being, and if you want them not to sit there, then you can fence even though it's a public space.

Not worth the money!
This is a guest house, a very basic one at best. We arrived with a gift card after making a reservation on their website, and we were informed by a very rude, very angry manager that not only she will not cancel our reservation, but she will not accept our gift card since she makes no money out of it and she rather give away our room- although would not give us our money back for the hold on the room. This is a very very basic room. All furniture is old or scratched or stained. Bed was hard. Balcony could only fit a small standing person. Not worth the money
