Excellent value, great location

On the edge of Hollum, close to nature and to the village centre.
Spacious rooms; we had a 4-person apartment (3 rooms), breakfast included, for a price most other hotels would not even offer their smallest suite.
Nice pool (even during Corona 'self-restricted', no reservations needed, BYO room towel). Decent breakfast, first day service was a bit slow and patchy but after asking 2nd time they delivered 100%. Great terrace too, friendly staff.

Noisy and dated

Main complaint is how noisy this place is. Walls and ceilings seem to be made out of cardboard. You hear EVERYTHING. Other than that, mostly just very basic and dated. More like a hostel than a hotel. Everything reminds me of a nursing home, including the food.
Location is good, but for the price you can do much better on this beautiful island.

Not a nice place.

We ended up staying at this hotel for one night during a longer trip to the island of ameland. Although we expected the prices to be a little higher due to the national holiday, we did not expect to see them doubled. But the problems do not end there: we are asked for a deposit of 50 €, we are asked to pay separately for the cleaning service and even blankets and sheets. Absurd. In addition, the room was full of dust and summarily clean. In the end, we rented bicycles made available by the hotel and when we returned in the evening, respecting the time they had communicated to return them, the room was closed and there was no one to give them to. In short, a real nightmare and a really bad stay.

Nice stay

The hotel had what we were looking for : the best location not far from the centre, nice hotel restaurant for dinner, very good breakfast, next to a nice golf course. Our apartment was clean, but the bed was too soft. The down side of this 2 story apartment was the bathroom/toilet was upstairs.
