Nice quiet park in nice tourist area

The park looks very neat and well cared for. It is within walking distance of the village of Otterlo with a few restaurants and bicycle rental, right next to park De Hoge Veluwe. The park offers many different types of accommodation: from safari tents to mobile homes to full houses. There is a nice restaurant which looks nice both inside and out on the terrace. There is also a nice indoor pool (no slide so perhaps less suitable for children). The park shop is also good with a wide choice of fresh rolls every morning.
We stayed in a safari tent on the glamping part. This part of the park is car-free and you feel in the middle of the forest. The safari tent itself was very spacious and fully equipped, including an easy to operate pallet stove (for cold evenings) and a lovely rain shower. On arrival the bed linen was not present in our tent, but after a phone call this was delivered super quickly to the tent.
In terms of areas for improvement: the sliding doors in the safari tent make quite a noise which causes everyone to wake up every time they visit the toilet. There were also a number of things such as hooks that were not properly on the wall and loose cables. If these matters were solved, the safari tent would be perfect.
The restaurant and bar were also closed early, so you don't have the opportunity to have a drink in the evening (this may also have to do with the fact that we were there outside the high season).
Finally, there is also a wellness area that can be booked for a fee. Because we did not use this during our stay, I cannot judge this but it looked quite complete and neat.
All in all, we really liked our stay here!

Holiday was okay, unfortunately it is not enough for more

• Beautiful large house located right on the edge of the forest. Enough space for eight people. Seating in the garden behind the house. Pitches for two cars right in front of the house.
• The facility very extensive. Bathing lake is at its lowest point just under a meter, so ideal for children. Nice large playground around the lake. (cable car, several climbing frames, swings, air cushions). Sports field for kicking or playing basketball. The indoor pool is unfortunately a bit unattractive that it is usually very crowded and offers no slide or other play facilities.
*Personnel speaks, except one employee, no German. Everything about communication must be done in English. Also the animation is only in Dutch.
* The house was not cleaned upon our arrival, windows full of streaks and streaks, fully calcified windows in the bathroom.
• Bathroom without any possibility to hang up his towel. Bathtub without shower screen, let alone shower rod to hang the shower to be able to shower standing.
• In the bathroom there was no possibility to hang the towels as no hooks were attached. We had to hang our towels in the hallway over the railing to dry.
• Kitchen cabinets are also full of streaks, as is the stove
*Mattress covers dirty. Hair, crumbs, dried body fluids, silverfish on the mattress
*Only two out of four bedrooms had a small metal wardrobe. The remaining people had to live out of the suitcase.
* The windows in the room with the large glass front cannot be opened. Was therefore incredibly hot in the room.
* Unfortunately, the remaining rooms do not have fly screens, so we always had some mosquitoes in the room.
• Dishwasher without salt and rinse aid, (but we got this), the first 4 machines were dirty. We had to clean the nozzles first because they were blocked. During our stay we cleaned the nozzles several times to be able to clean out reasonably clean dishes.
• no operating instructions for the devices. After some testing we understood the microwave/oven and the programs of the dishwasher.
• no information material what you could do at excursion destinations. In the immediate vicinity, however, there were hardly any excursions (only corn maze in Otterlo, within walking distance) otherwise we would have to drive at least 10 km by car. (Ede has a beautiful shopping, with many shops. And it's not too crowded. Apeldoorn also has beautiful shopping streets, but is very crowded)
• Use of the washing machine costs 6€ the dryer 2,50€, detergent is not needed, this is dosed by the machine itself
• Good internet or Wi-Fi was always available in the house, as well as throughout the park

Very impractically furnished Tiny House

We booked a Tiny House 2 for New Year's Eve. From the photos on the website and from the photos of people who had been there before on Instagram, they all seemed like cozy, practically furnished houses.
However, our house did not look like any of the photos. It was a pet friendly house and it smelled a bit like dogs when we arrived. The kitchen was made from what looked like wooden pallets. There were no cupboards again, just 2 shelves that were full of all kinds of things. There was a citrus juicer, milk frother, kettle and 2 (?!) coffee makers. However, I would have preferred more space to store my food than a tiny house full of electrical appliances. On the other side, under the stairs was a table with 2 chairs, a drying rack and a huge vacuum cleaner, no storage space and because of the vacuum cleaner and the drying rack there was nowhere to put anything. A shared garden shed between the Tiny houses for these large materials would have been useful. There was also a bathroom with a shower on one side and the toilet on the other side with a mirror above, no sink. You had to paint yourself over the toilet bowl and then wash your hands/brush your teeth in the kitchen. A very steep staircase took you upstairs to the bedroom area. You had to crawl here, but otherwise it was fine.
We also ordered a towel package with bath and kitchen towels. This was not available in our Tiny house, so we immediately called reception (5 p.m.) Someone would bring everything as quickly as possible. 2 hours later someone comes to the door with a package, which turned out to be a bath mat and soaps. We sent to reception again but got no response. Then don't do the dishes and dry your face with a bath mat ‍♀️
We called again in the morning and we were allowed to come to reception for our towels.
Unfortunately, this Tiny House was not the most pleasant experience for us.

The window they gave us for check in was only one hour from 4 to 5 p.m. That is too restrictive.
And check out was too early: 10 a.m.
It is a very short time from check in to check out.
