Very burn experience whenever I come

Third time I come and always very well
Attention at reception, maintenance staff, everything perfect
The location is fantastic, close to everything on foot, and if you rent car, you have a nearby parking space
The rooms are very good
Where the kitchen is has everything and it's easy to cook or heat whatever you bring
Highly recommended, you will enjoy the place and how wonderful Barcelos is

Cancelled our paid stay a few hours before our arrival!!!!

0/5. To flee!!! The manager cancelled our fully paid Reservation while we were en route to Portugal and by car for 2 days with two young children. She spoke to us very badly and besides impossible to communicate on the phone with her, she does not understand English at all and limited us hung up. We had requested a late check, she had agreed to do it remotely then at the receipt of passports, she set us on fire because we had not informed our little boy (child at no extra cost in the Reservation and we had all 4 beds in the room). She decided to cancel our Reservation and called us frauds.
While we told him we were willing to pay if needed for an extra charge. She had sent us a message via Booking in parallel to say ok an extra 130€ will be applied. So everything was settled. But not in the meantime we asked a Portuguese friend to call to clarify the situation because the communication was very difficult and she was very aggressive in writing. She sent her for a walk, and told her that the room no longer belonged to us and that we were big crooks... Incomprehensible. She ruined our arrival in Portugal, we arrived at night with our two children without housing. We had to book a Pension in the middle of August at the last minute, which cost double the budget. I strongly suspect this lady of being racist. In any case, zero customer relations and benevolence.
I have pictures of the exchanges to prove that on top of that, she is in bad faith and reversing the situation to defend herself, unfortunately defaming... I advise against +++++++++++

Very very very bad experience

This is a disaster, we booked a room and the hotel, a woman in particular, refused us access as soon as she got our IDs. She spoke to us very rudely. We ended up without a reservation with our children, knowing that we had already paid. We don't understand. This hotel is a scam. Avoid it.
