Very nice, clean and safe place near Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton

We only spent one night in this place, arrived very late and checked out early in the morning, but from what we could see and experience, the place is really nice. It was still under some minor rennovation but that didn't bother our comfort and sleep. If I stayed in Johannesburg 2 nights, I would enjoy the pool and the veranda, which looked nice and clean. The room we had was very spacious, also had a kitchenette and everything you need for self-catering stay. It felt safe (they have guarded and closed entrance), so nothing to worry about. The only thing "missing" was being a bit closer to the heard of Sandton (Mandella Square), however you can call Uber at any time... it will cost you less than 10 USD to get there I guess. Oh, and the sink in the bathroom was a bit awkward because of that "hot - cold" water thing... stupid British influence :P

Horrific client service

This property is honestly the worst client facing place I have ever been too. The manager fabricated some story around my booking besting lost and even blamed the platform. Without any discussion or engagement she cancelled the booking. I am sure they will write back to this post with a long winded defensive post, however as a frequent business traveller I have never been treated with such disrespect.
Effectively the staff wanted to go home and hence cancelled my booking the evening of check in. So just lazy in my eyes.
Having been to in excess of 10 counties this year alone, this is the worst experience I have ever had. And I was in Russia last week.

Lots of potential

When we arrived on Maple we were looking for that guesthouse but we could not find it first hand. Then we went into a dark alley and yes, we arrived. I must admit that on arrival I was a little bit unsure where we ended up .. It looked a bit dark and we were only welcomed by the security gard who also showed us our room. The room itself was spacious, lovely decorated and very well equiped. A bit of deception was the bathroom that was, what I believe not already finished or renovated. Anyway everything was functional. When we woke up in the morning and we saw the property in the light of the sunshine we had a totally other impression. A beautiful old house, quiet in the middle of sandton but you feel like in a forest..On a lovely stoep we were served a very good breakfast and had such a nice chat with the owner..I really can recommande that place for a quiet stay in the middle of sandton and very close to all facilities.

Overnight stay not what I hoped

My husband and i decided to go away for the weekend so we saw Treehouse on maple and thought it was lovely so we booked it.When we got there there was no one at the gate to greet us there was a lady though a guest we assume that did call the security guard and he escorted us to the Queen studio where we were staying for the night the room was beautiful but we did encounter a couple of problems 1)The shower head head was very low which made it very challenging for my husband to shower 2)The showers temperature was difficult to work with because it was either to hot or to cold 3)The towels were quite hard 4)The room was fairly hot even with air conditioning 5)And then lastly on the morning of our departure the security guard knocked on the door and was actually rude when telling us we must just remember to be out before 10. But further it was a lovely room just think there is a couple of things that need to be fixed.

Amazing!!

The rooms are fantastic and the host is super helpful. The lady of the house gave us great suggestions for our trip ahead and in fact offered us help for our further time in South Africa. She made sure we had a wonderful experience staying there.
