Birthday Surprise and Afternoon Tea.
The cream team was in the lounge and not at a table, and like the majority of me, I tend to disbelieve that there is a gap between the items on the plate and my shirt front, it would have been more comfortable to sit at a table I think, and interestingly enough a mother/daughter arrived and they asked to move also, but I think the next room was occupied by a group of people who were obviously in the "who can talk the loudest club" and whilst we had our romantic afternoon tea we had a roadmap of politics, news etc from the people in the next room whilst eating - but it was minor, and the only other issue was in the evening - when we sat down for dinner and I booked this many many months ago for my girlfriends birthday I didn't see anywhere that it was a 5 course tasting menu - it was fine and the food was gorgeous, but as I say little niggles - all in all a fantastic place, amazing.

Ambience in a luxury castle
Service is tip top and nothing was too much trouble for a welcoming staff and a shout out to Sophia who went out of her way to ensure that we had a good stay in the ambience of the castle and it's grounds.
Both the evening meal and breakfast were a delight and again the service here was of a good standard.
With many different bedrooms and individual features it will is a lovely treat whilsy exploring the nearby by attractions and stately homes.
