Weekend away
Breakfast was very nice. We got upgraded to a deluxe room without asking which was a great surprise.

A lovely English country hotel
The hotel garden is large, and the village of Weston on the Green with its thatched houses is just up the road and worth a wander.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a really lovely meal. Quite high price, but worth it for a special occasion.
Breakfast: the hot food was cooked to order with a good choice.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay very much.

Finance team clearly in charge
Used to have free EV charging - but now they charge 79p per kWh!! This used to be a nice perk of booking here but is a game changer now for some very regular guests
Used to have bathrobes in all rooms - now not so.. but if you pay £15 you can use one! More money making
Breakfast buffet - what happened to the table service ? Terrible scrambled eggs - just not what you’d expect.. means reducing staff cost - more money making
Thanks for the memories but for us, there are plenty of other choices in the area where the finance team are not affecting guest satisfaction
