Clean, central and affordable!
Had family room on the 2nd floor. The room was spacious and clean. Good beds were a big plus. Good selection for breakfast so everyone found something they liked. The service in the breakfast department was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of Karl Johan, the castle and Aker bridge (15 min).

Great breakfast, but thats all good…
I will start with good things: Breakfast is excellent and serving keeps fresh. Also employees at breakfast were really nice and serviceminded.
Second good thing is good waterpressure in shower.
Then. Bad things. Service at reception is poor. People were not at all serviceminded. Actually ”service” was arrogant. No flexibility or eye for customer service.
Rooms. We booked Juniorsuite for 3. Poor standard. No daylight, you can’t open window, bedsofa was horrible. Sheets were only 50% cotton and 50% polyester. You can feel sweat…
No drinking glasses at room. Cleaning was careless, surfaces was dusty. Frigde in a box was noisy and it felt that it could start burn in any minut.
Unfortunately this is first scandic hotel i will not recommend to stay at.
Instead i will recommend employees to change attitude and refresh rooms and their mindset (including descriptions for rooms at web page).
