Great location, modern and clean rooms, friendly staff.
The rooms are very modern and comfortable and like the bathrooms top clean. The location near a main artery means, however, depending on the location of the room, relatively much noise - if you want to sleep with open windows, because the rooms have air conditioning otherwise (however, this is not silent either).
Breakfast is really rich and good and worth a recommendation.
The staff is also extremely friendly. However, I pity the reception staff, because I have rarely experienced the registration formalities as complicated as in Rostock. I emphasize the name of the city, because here the problem is not (only) with the hotel: You have to register both for the room with all passports of all persons and then a second time, on a second system, for the tourist tax, also with the passports of all persons. The lady had to enter everything by hand - twice! That must have taken 20 minutes in total. Like I said: not the fault of the very friendly staff. The calculation of the tourist tax itself, which I find very expensive, is actually cheeky again: We stayed one night but had to stay for two days (!) Pay tourist tax. Only with very late arrival and very early departure would we have been given one of the two taxis.
Otherwise, however, this house, especially for the asking price, is a real recommendation!

Suffice it to say, this is not the first time at the B&B Rostock Stadthafen. ;-)
The breakfast is also impressive. Fresh rolls, great coffee and a great selection of sausage and cheese make for a great start to the day.
I always enjoy coming here!
