Good central location
This newish hotel was very centrally located being just a ten minute walk from the central station. There is the Stadtbibliothek U-Bahn station just outside the main entrance too with good connections for the whole city as well as nearby bus stops. The room was clean and located on a high floor. Tea and coffee provided along with complimentary bottled water. Reception staff very helpful. Lifts fast and efficient.

First time overall good expereince with Aloft Stuttgart
There are two Marriott properties in the city center of Stuttgart - Le Meridien and this one. Le Meridien was great but very challenging to get to due to 10+ years of Central Station construction and this one looks convenient enough (one subwy stop to Stuttgart Hbf and easy to get to all my meeting places) so I decided to give it a try.
Hotel is located right next to the Milaneo Shopping Center where you get off at the Stadtbibliothek subway station, and Aloft is right above the station which you take the elevator up to the street level and you will see the hotel right in front. Reception is at the 2nd floor so for guests who carry heavy luggaes, there are two elevators available at the ground level so there should not be any difficulties getting up. This location is one metro stop from Stuttgart Central Station, so not the most convenient location but it is totally manageble: at least you do not have to walk far and make lots of detour to get to it like the Le Meridian. The proximity to the next door shopping mall on the other hand, is a total plus as you can easily take care of your needs for shopping and dining, with supermarkets, convenient stores, and a huge food court.
Needless to say, this is a Aloft not the Le Meridien so people should not expect fancy facilities like executive lounge or extra services like concierge or bellman. It is your no-thrill and mostly self-serve basic business hotel. Having said, I found my upgraded room spacious, comfortable and has everything I need. Daily breakfast area (huge space) is provided at the 2nd floor next to the reception, with sufficient amount of food though food item selection is not abundant. There is also laundry room on the 4th floor available for guests' use (1 washer/1 dryer only) and you can purchase detergent pod for 2 euro/piece at the reception.
Overall I would consider my stay at Aloft very pleasant - until Stuttgart Hbf is done with construction (which will most likely take quite a few more years), I will most likely choose to stay here again.
**The only problem with this hotel is, they wrongfully charged me a huge amount of money for a booking I cancelled months ahead of time which I had to file a dispute via credit card bank and am still waiting to hear back from Aloft. So make sure you check your booking or booking cancellation with them upon arrival to avoid incorrect charges.

Good modern budget option close to transport with quiet rooms
Overall, the room was good value for money, but the room showed signs of wear.
Being an American chain, the bed and pillows were American style - so no square European pillows, and a single duvet rather than two separate ones. The genuine king-sized bed (i.e. not two singles pushed together) was very comfortable, and I slept well!
Some parts of the room were starting to age and could use some attention - like a big dirty stain on the sofa, but otherwise it was fine. The windows opened to let in fresh air, and despite facing a busy street, the thick windows kept out all of the noise when closed. I didn’t hear anything from the corridors or neighboring rooms either. The shower took a while to drain which caused the room to flood on the first night, I used a spare towel to mop it up. On my last night, the water struggled to get hot, and I had to turn the temperature fully up to get it warm.
The hotel is mostly surrounded by a shopping mall, with a few average food options. It’s better to head into the city centre, easily accessible from the Stadtbibliothek U-Bahn station located right beneath the hotel. The Chinese Garden is nearby, just a couple of stops on the 44 bus (or a longer uphill walk) and offers great views of the city.
Finding the hotel was a bit tricky. Coming out of the mall, take the exit next to Decathlon, then turn left to find the hotel’s entrance. Alternatively, there’s an elevator from the U-Bahn station, or a ramp you can walk up. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof if you don't want to take the U-Bahn one stop.
Finally, as others have said, there is a free laundry, but only one washer and one dryer are available. These are European so take a while compared to American models - if you use the shorter cycles on the washing machine they won't spin as fast so I recommend turning up the spin speed so they are quicker in the dryer (this is also better for the environment!) or just drying them in your room. Some guidance notes from the hotel would have been good in the laundry too as the machine programs are all written in German.

Great stay!
This was a great modern hotel. Everything was close by, including a mall with an Aldi, easy access to Ubahn with one stop to the main train station. We enjoyed the Katz bakery around the corner for breakfast or lunch. We read other reviews about the noise but this was not our experience at all, it was very quiet for us. Our room faced the inner courtyard. Staff was helpful and made up the extra bed before arrival.

Good for shopping trips
Stayed here from 17./18.01.2025 for 96.30 euros (incl. the option for free cancellation).
Parking was provided in the parking garage (only Deck's AP1 & BP1 are discounted by the hotel > 24 hours for 25 euros) below the shopping center "Melaneo".
The hotel is located above the shopping centre.
The room was facing the six-lane Heilbronner Straße, but thanks to the double windows, nothing was heard from her, even though she was busy at all times.
Darkening by curtain was good.
Not so good was the open bathroom, as well as the fact that all light switches were placed one above the other next to the sink without labeling.
So I turned on the lights twice in the whole room, although I only wanted to turn this on for the toilet at night.
Also, the toilet is only to be closed via a sliding door, so you can hear everything that happens in the room.
Also, the room staff was not really attentive.
So the shampoo and shower gel in the shower was completely empty, the conditioner, on the other hand, was brimming.
