Horrible.
The day before the trip and stay in the hotel Slina, unfortunately a family misfortune occurred that prevented me from traveling and therefore the hotel reservation without any possibility of effect.
I informed in writing and by phone the same day, explaining why I could not travel and requesting that it be cancelled, naturally asking for a refund, even if partial.
I was informed that same day by one of the hotel employees that it was almost full, stating that the room would easily be occupied again.
At the same time, booking.com also informed me that, due to the exceptional reason, I would be fully available to cancel the reservation and refund the full amount only the approval of the hotel Slina.
After 2 days in contact, the hotel slina and its manager refused to talk to me and ignored my request by keeping the reservation active throughout their period.
They did it with total lack of humanism, common sense demonstrating exclusively the opportunism and the exploitation of a client's misfortune.
This was an example of lack of humanism, lack of common sense and people with very bad character.
These are the perfect examples that are not missing in our world today.

Slina hotel
- more or less spacious rooms compared to the average standards for budget hotels in Brussels
- bed and linen quality
- friendly staff
- armchairs and coffee table available
- big bathroom with hair dryer (!)
- breakfast is surprisingly good: all essential food offered
Cons:
- the neighbourhood seems a bit unsafe: the district is inhabited with people of mainly Arabic origin, and everything around proves it: very loud music and noisy
- w/o an A/C it's terrible to tolerate the heat
- corridor is tiny and usually dark having only sensor lamps which spread light for a couple of seconds, not more
I would recommend staying here if your budget is small and if you need to reside close to the station. There were also a couple of small shops around.
Tips:
- choose a room on the opposite side of the street - they are more quiet
- organize your breakfast outside in the backyard in fresh air - much much better and causy than inside the dining hall
