Great stay in El Coco

Pretty perfect location in El Coco. The hotel is right on the beach and away from the crowds of El Coco. The rooms are simple, but very clean and comfortable. The AC is strong and cools the room in no time. There is no hot water, but the weather is so warm that I didn't think it was required. The common areas are very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The room on the bottom floor might be a bit louder as the floors creaks, but it wasn't too much of an issue for us. Would recommend!

Comfortable and Safe Stay at the Beach

Very happy with our stay at the M&M Beach House. The hotel is right on the beach - and from the breakfast table or the upper terrace, you have a peak-a-book view of the beach and the sunset. Our room was excellent - large, airy, good fan and air conditioner, good size shower and plenty of table space, along with a fridge. The staff were very friendly and accomodating to look after our luggage on our first day before check in and on our last day before check out. We did not eat the breakfast because our days started too early but always grabbed some juice before we left. The transactions with the hotel were easy and professional and we used WhatsApp. Although we were very close to the action in town (ie street noise) - things would quiet down - and we never felt unsafe even walking at night or to the grocery store during the day along back roads.

It is inconceivable that a hotel does not have hot water, or that the cleaning of the rooms is done when it suits them

Backpacker hotel closer to a bad hostel q to a hotel, no hot water, no daily cleaning, the only thing remarkable is q is on the beachfront, a bad experience. Get up at 6 in the morning and shower with cold water in the end

Experiencing Kindness

Staying at the M&M Beach House for 4 night was the start of our 3 week visit to Costa Rica and our introduction to the wonderful people of the country. Without exception all of the staff were friendly, accommodating, gracious, kind and helpful. I didn’t get all the names but Juan was so helpful, as was Ana who was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - we will never forget her and will be telling the “story of Ana” and her kindness whenever we talk about our visit to Costa Rica. Due to winter weather conditions, our flight to Costa Rica was cancelled and all our reservations got very mixed up, but Ana came to the rescue and went over and above to help us - I could never express adequately how grateful we were, and remain, to her. There is a lady with a truly pure and kind heart! The M&M rooms were spacious and clean and we had a fridge which was a bonus. The whole resort was spotlessly clean and the location , basically right on the beach, and minutes walk away from town and great restaurants was great. Breakfasts (free) were great and the shrimp quesadillas and coffee “milkshakes” were our daily lunch “go to” and not to miss The only reason I haven’t given the Hotel a 5 star is because we missed AC. No hot water was not a problem at all ( very refreshing), but having come from a temperature at home of -40 Celsius to the heat of Costa Rica, we needed AC to transition! But the memory that remains is of Ana, Juan and all the other wonderful staff.5

Diving trip in Playa del Coco

Nice hotel, very well located, ideal for beach or diving activities.
Friendly attention from the staff, good breakfast and comfortable rooms. It does not have air conditioning and in summer its absence is noticeable.
