The hotel, part of the Balneari Caldas de Boí Health Spa resort, is situated in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees, and surrounded by exceptional natural beauty.

Beautiful setting and simple hotel
Fair buffet, very bad coffee.
Correct cleaning.
It lacks air conditioning or fans.
The patio fountain noisy for sleeping.

Poor quality food, hotel with good location
The food is of very poor quality. Breakfast is based on prefabricated food. The coffee is terrible.
I would not hire breakfast or dinner again. A hotel should offer a better restaurant service.

Mixed experiences
- Marvelous location and views,
- Large room and bathroom,
- Various pools with relatively well maintained lawn
- Springs of different taste and temperature freely available
The drawbacks:
- English spoken by the personnel changing from fluent (rare) to non-existent (rather frequent).
- Room: A lot of noise coming from the corridor through the thin door and from the river through the open windows (if you wanted them open as we did without air conditioning) on the 2nd floor.
- Breakfast: Rich and delicious but unchanged in one week.
- Service in the pool bar: Varying from kind, attentive and professional to long waiting times (the local was far from full), forgotten drinks and dishes, almost rude negligence. Unfortunately, both extremes could be provided by the same waiter!
- Wellness and spa: No English leaflet, minimal English spoken by the personnel, rather basic facilities for such unique natural resources. Hardly any locker found on an average working day, a lot of them with broken locks.
In conclusion: We spent a great week in Vall de Boí but will not go back to this hotel, primarily due to the rather uneven level of service.
