A great night's sleep

Most of the prior reviews were pretty terrible. We did not have a terrible experience and for the price this location was just fine--we experienced a great night's sleep. A couple of things though make it a 3.5.
1. The east stairwell is still closed and no one was working on it during our stay. This is a safety hazard; 2. The room was clean, but had some sticky stuff on the counters that was kind of strange; 3. The breakfast was so-so, but again it is free so we never expect perfection here.
Positives: 1. HUGE room. You could have a softball or baseball team camp in the mail room and still have the bedroom to yourselves. 2. Clean bathroom which was roomy and supplied with nice fluffy towels and shampoo, lotion, conditioner amenities. 3. Nice grounds and even a kind of park like area for those traveling with dogs. 4.The Pool looked nice as well. 5. We had our own separate balcony looking out at the golf course across the street. 6. The refrigerator was off when we arrived, but cooled as soon as we turned it to cool, so no big problem there. Also a microwave and many places to hang clothes, etc.

Air conditioner doesn’t have continuous fan, toilet so low it’s for a preschooler, no freezer in fridge for our ice packs, no glasses for our drinks- perhaps I could have asked for them, bedding nice but bed so so. Clean and just undergoing some construction.

Will never stay here again.

The room was not clean. We had to wipe out hair in the shower. The refrigerator was not cold, it was turned all the way down. And it had sticky stuff on the shelf, obviously was not cleaned at all. There was guck on the counter where the TV was. The maintenance in the hotel is horrible. Having one of the stairwells closed is a serious safety hazard. I can't believe that Hilton would even put their name on this particular hotel. I worked on the management team in a hotel for 30 years and the cleanliness and maintenance issues you have would never have been acceptable. When we asked the desk for an extra blanket, she gave me a bedspread. And we were told you didn't have DND signs, unbelievable. We took a sticky note & wrote do not disturb and taped it to the door knob. We usually love Hampton Inn but this was a very disappointing 2 night stay and the cost did not match the quality. We will not be staying at this hotel again and will recommend to friends and family not to stay.

Not great

This hotel is undergoing a lot of construction. There is currently no restaurant, no room service, no laundry room, and no indoor pool. These are many of the things I thought I was going to get when I booked the room. Very disappointing. It is also very loud - you can hear everything in the hallways, in the rooms around you, and the traffic on the interstate.

I was disappointed. This was the most expensive hotel on our trip . After several hours of my granddaughters games i wanted to go to our room watch tv and relax. You only had two channels. Againbthis was the most expensive hotel on our trip.
