Greed and indifference

Desperately unexplained experience! Because I arrived later than scheduled time, due to emergencies, the Owner refused to serve me and so I was unable to stay at this property because he did not give me instructions how to open the door. Also, the Owner was rude and indifferent. It's like taking my money out of my wallet and throwing it in the trash. Get out of there!

Run away fools!

Terrible hostel to absolutely avoid. The beds are more reminiscent of niches from which you are afraid of never waking up again. There are no spaces to place even a suitcase, zero space to walk, zero windows anywhere (in Italy it would be illegal, and even in Greece I have my doubts), indecent bathroom, towels supplied already dirty and stained, smell of sewer that comes up from the bathroom. In a third world country it would be considered a sewer, in Europe and Greece I'm not sure if there are terms to describe it. Avoid like the plague

To be avoided if you are not in an emergency

I stay in hostels quite frequently, but this one is an absolute no-no for me, at least as far as the dormitory downstairs is concerned. If you absolutely must stay here, be sure to ask for a bed in the upstairs rooms. Downstairs is a hovel, eight capsule beds that leave a microbial space free (two of them already can't move), for a cost of 30 euros per night if you book directly with them.
The room has no windows, and the musty smell is quite strong. The bathroom, at the end of a narrow corridor, is very small and blind too. The only way to recycle the air is to run the air conditioner constantly. Suffocating and claustrophobic. In Italy it would not be legal.
Sheets are provided to make your own bed and no towels.
I am extremely adaptable, I often travel to the third world, and I made it work well for myself, but I would never, ever recommend it, especially due to the absolutely too high cost, justified by the owner (who does not speak English well) with the presence of the breakfast. I would prefer not to have it included, and pay a price appropriate to the structure! Among other things, the time it is served is very limited: from 8.30 (but they are late) to perhaps 10. But by 9 o'clock the eggs were always already finished. Only yogurt and feta are topped up. If you have to leave early, you lose it.
In Chania there are two other hostels in which I stayed, at a much better price (a third less) and with much better spaces and facilities, which include a ready bed, bright rooms with windows, and a towel provided.
For obvious reasons of communication difficulties, the person who manages the Hippie hostel does not provide suggestions or share useful information
Acceptable only for emergencies, if there is no room elsewhere. The truly indecent price leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
P.s. I waited about an hour to check in, because there was no one at the reception.

Graveyard

A dormitory without windows and 10 niches instead of beds. A single bathroom with a shower over the toilet... just to optimize time. All cheered up by a dead pantegana in front of the entrance. We left after 5 minutes of staying. To be avoided.

Absolutely unacceptable accommodation. The room was located lower than street level, behind some stairs in an alley, with shockingly low humidity.
A single bathroom for 10 sleeping positions with a shower placed on the toilet bowl.
The beds were more like niches, although narrow and closed. The icing on the cake was that in the evening a mouse appeared outside the door!
Run away!
