Wow!

I was there the day before yesterday with my family, it is located exactly near the centre, wonderful location, friendly staff, clean room and very comfortable bed, a beautiful view, I will definitely be back!!! I have attached a photo of the view below

Don't let the pictures fool you

We spent 2 nights there and were very disappointed. Let's start with the goo; the room was big and clean. There was a large counter in the bathroom, and the staff was all friendly. The location was excellent, and there was lots to tasty things to choose from for breakfast. Now for the bad. The AC wasn't strong enough to keep the room cool. Spoke with the front desk after we checked in and they said they'd look into it. Got back to the hotel around 11 pm, and no change in temp. Slept with the window open, which helped a bit. Talked with the front desk the next morning, and again, that night no change. And, it wasn't only our room. The room was nothing like the pictures. All the furniture was pink painted wood, and had 2 singles put together instead of a king, which was OK. I went to the front desk to see if they could break a 20 Euro bill and the guy said they only had 50 and 100 Euro bills. REALLY??? For what we paid at other hotels in Sicily and Calabria, this was not worth it.

Very disappointing and services null , inadmissible!

We are very disappointed with the hotel because we had booked two rooms. on arrival there was only one room left because there was a group occupying the hotel! These are the receptionist's explanations.
Our room was inaccessible due to a well-known lock problem.
They offered us a reserve room that was certainly clean but just horrible.
We accepted because it was late and were tired.There was an important event that night and impossible to find anything else.
In the morning we had a minimal apology from the manager and no commercial gesture. We paid 94€ for the reserve room and 72€ for the other room a little less horrible.
I'm not disbelieving, but I'm telling the truth. Absolutely distressing!

HASN’T changed in 28 years !

I went to the hotel Mediterráneo over 25 years ago and it still looks the same! By American standards this is like a motel nothing special about the hotel itself do you have a room and a main hallway That’s it ! I was there to visit family so it provided us what we needed which was a clean bed to sleep in for the time that we were there… However I would not recommend especially if you like air conditioning I know Europe has this thing against air-conditioning but they kept insisting there was AC on … end it certainly did not feel like it! 25 years later there are much nicer places to stay in Roccella Ionica … most of the action is down at the other end of the beach … there was a great restaurant on the beach though and I would highly recommend it!

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel, everything well maintained, appears recently renovated, functional and efficient. Very friendly staff. Very close to the beach and shops and train station. Definitely recommended.
