My wife and i had the pleasure of staying in one of the cabins for my 64th Birthday on April 7, 2025. Nadine and Bri were at the facility and they gave us the full tour. They also surprised us with home made cinnamon buns and a Happy Birthday Card. The cabin we stayed in had all of the comforts of home as well as a patio with private hot tub and BBQ. We got to feed the horses, pet the dogs and walk throughout the ranch area. It was a fantastic stay and we will be back as soon as we can. The cabins are private, quiet so you can relax and have a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone, couples, people with kids, etc.. Fun for all and the staff were fantastic!!

Such a peaceful place
We had the most amazing experience at the cottage. So peaceful and relaxing. The horses coming up to the bedroom window to get some carrots was such a beautiful moment. The dogs were so incredibly well behaved and friendly. Everything in the cabin was spotless and so welcoming and warming. Definitely will be going back as often as we can.

Stayed at the Coral Cottage for 2 nights right before Christmas and had an amazing time! The cottage was beautiful with many special touches, super clean and cozy. Can’t wait to visit again!

very rustic but incredibly warm hostess
The drive from Prince George goes several kilometers through meadows until you turn onto the ranch and drive there again a few hundred meters past paddocks to the "Office".
Next to the path, a woman was already waving at us very kindly, and as we drove on, she sped to us with a vehicle and showered us with hospitality. Maureen was very warm and so excited about showing us everything. She was so sweet.
She had put drinks in the fridge, freshly baked cinnamon rolls were ready - and they were very delicious!! Little chocolate lay on the beds. Stunningly warm everything.
She also immediately introduced me to her two dogs. Quite friendly great St Bernards. But she also immediately offered to put them away if we had a problem with it. (Unfortunately, the extensive meadow in front of the house is full of dog remains, so you have to be careful where you step.)
Four horses are standing in the paddock at the house - which Maureen would have liked to introduce us by name if they had come here. But for that there is a folder where every animal with photo and name can be found.
In the small bedroom is a sliding window that the horses like to get to. Then you can feed the horses - for which carrots were ready in the fridge. And in fact, in the morning, a horse came to the window, "knocked" on it, and had the carrots fed.
It is unbelievable how lovingly Maureen has thought all this through and how warm and hospitable she is.
So I don't want to petty criticise anything.
But I just think it's fair to mention a few points that I thought were a shame:
The house is really very rustic (we had the standard cottage, but there is also another one I can't say anything about).
Simple windows. Some windows have fly screens - and yet flies buzzed through the cracks. Country life, just.
The kitchen consists of an ancient chest of drawers with a few utensils in drawers. It has two induction plates, but is otherwise rather barrenly equipped.
The fridge is “normal” in size – not a typical Canadian size (I only mention it so the supplies fit in!).
And there is no oven or dishwasher. The sink is tiny, so the washing up is really troublesome and you can also slightly submerge the area around the sink.
There's a coffee machine - and coffee powder specially wrapped in Woodhouse design bags. However, filling the machine is difficult because it must first be pulled out from under the shelf to fill from above.
Anything possible! But just like I said, very rustic. Very cramped.
There is a hotpot for this that can be used. Includes bath slippers and bathrobes.
And there's a TV - who needs that. We rather enjoyed the magnificent view over the paddock.
We had, as I said, the standard cottage. In retrospect, I would definitely book the (at least in the photos) much more modern and larger deluxe cottage. But I'm sure for many people the rustic is just the adventurous thing about holidays.
I would like to give full score because of the exorbitant hospitality and great commitment and tremendous efforts of Maureen. That's a very good thing.
But in fairness, I'll rate it differently, because I just expected it differently. And I hope that doesn't make Maureen sad.
