A lovely night at Andante
Very nice place, very cozy, the host was kind and generous..
The place is very clean..
Everything we needed as travelers, we found it there e.g. towels, hair dryer, shelves, luggage racks..
The scenery is amazing!!
The trees, the swimming pool..
We had a lovely experience..
We felt home..

Andante Bed & Breakfast, a jewel!
What a jewel Andante Bed and Breakfast is! We had two wonderful days and the host made everything possible to have a great stay at Andante. Rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and confortable beds. The house has several spaces for you to enjoy, plus the pool, tennis and outside decks. Both Fernando and Lina were very kind and friendly. Lina’s art is around the house, beautiful and colorful, maybe you can buy it! Their Gîte is nicely located within a pretty wood area, lots of nature surrounding, birds included! Several lovely little towns to discover within 30 minutes, as Chelsea and Wakefield. The breakfast was awesome, full of flavor and nicely presented. Don’t hesitate to reserve here, you will never forget a vacation at Andante!

Excellent stay - just as pictured
Our stay at Andante was super! The beds were comfortable and the common area with the wood fireplace was perfect. Fernando was very helpful and generous! He and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. It is very close to a spa and was exactly what we were looking for. Plus, the Columbian breakfast was incredible!

Paid for a room and slept in my car overnight
I had booked with Andante when my first choice wasn`t available for a full five day stay in the Wakefield area. Upon arriving I was refused lodging for the night. Through unforseen circumstances, I needed to bring my elderly 6 pound toy poodle with me. There was absolutely no way he was letting me stay there, even though I had brought the dogs own bed with me.
On the phone, he had said that he was hesitant because of possible allergies of guests. The poodle is a hypoallergenic animal, so it should not have been an issue.
He also told me he was keeping the fee for a night at his 5 room accommodation B&B.
The reason was because he claimed he could have rented the room, this was a falsehood as he had only one of his five rooms rented.
And to make it even more ridiculous, he kept asking me what I was going to do for the night. Nope, I don`t recommend this place if you have a pet or children.

He booked a room for 1 person for 2 nights, as he had an invitation to a wedding on the second night. Regrettably we do not accept dogs, in consideration of other guests, not only for allergies, but for noise, and for hygiene reasons. His dog did not stop barking in his car while we were talking. He did scream several times to quite it and did not calm it down.
I suggested him to find a place for dogs, and I made several calls looking for a pet hotel in the city, but he did not have the veterinarian's certificate that are required in those places. He also hinted, in case I accepted the dog that I have to take care of it the next day meanwhile he were at the wedding. Sorry I'm not a dog sitter

I only charge him one night and not two, as it is the guarantee of a reservation. I promised him that if we had a last minute reservation I would return his money. His room was not occupied both nights.

He finally decided to stay at his sister's house 25 minutes away. I even helped him with her address and directions and I suggested him to call her before, and his answer was that he did not have her number, because he never called her.

My intention was, and has been always, to give information to my guests about restaurants or tourist places and help to find places of interest, as in this case, to book shelter for his dog.

Amazing!!
Was here around christmas! Beautiful forest landscape , the best hospitality and wonderful hosts!! Highly recommended ! The colombian breakfast was fantastic! Very cozy home and fire place area was great for relaxation!
