It was very hard to find at night. Took the taxi driver 30 mins circling around the block to find the hotel entrance!
Takes about 30 mins to walk downtown.
However, the receptionist was very helpful. Gave tips on restaurants and where to shop.

It's in a residential area.

It is located in a place that is difficult to access without a guided tour.
The service of the staff and the overall atmosphere of the hotel are good.
Breakfast is rustic but warm. Facilities are not well maintained in some places.

Pleasant and friendly

Asia is a very good alternative for Bishkek. Parking spaces are ample. Service friendly and helpful. The rooms including bathroom are simple but clean and pleasant in size. The associated pool with sunbathing area is very pleasant and very pleasant to relax after a busy day or city tour. Breakfast is extensive and good, should be available for every need. The center can be reached within walking distance in about 15 minutes. Definitely recommended.

Staff were especially helpful in dealing with unexpected problem with my taxi driver. They have a fixed fee arrangement for taxi to airport. Place is charming and beautiful.

Homely accommodation

We stayed at Asia Mountains Hotel for seven nights in total when arriving and leaving Kyrgyzstan. When we visited there were minor access problems and a little noise from major roadworks on the nearby road but that would be temporary. The adjacent railway line was more noticeable when the occasional train passed by. However overall the location would be fairly quiet and is convenient to amenities. The city centre attractions are a short walk away.
We stayed in the main building as well as the more modern annex with better rooms. There was no kettle in the rooms but drinks facilities were available all the time in the dining room. Breakfasts were buffet style and all fresh with a range of hot and cold food. Compared to other Kyrgyzstan accommodation during our three week trip, the standard was average but made up for by the attentive and considerate kitchen staff. They put themselves out to cater for a vegetarian, gluten free diet. The reception staff spoke some English and were helpful when asked.
A big plus is the swimming pool which was very welcome on the hot days. After visiting the city centre, it was great cooling off there with a swim and just relaxing by the pool. There is lovely garden too with and several sheltered spots to sit.
Overall we had a nice stay and can recommend this hotel.
