Wellness in Podebrady
The parking available is quite horrible, muddy place, quite a distance from the hotel, which is not mentioned in the internet presentation, on contrary there is wrong information that by car it is accessible from the Libušina street. In reality it is not reachable by car directly at all, you always have to walk( not far though). It would be OK if the information would be available from the beginning, in our case it would save us a lot of time going around and trying to find the way.
The service is not very customer oriented - the wellness procedures were scheduled in a tight schedule, without consulting us and our preferences or informing us in advance. The prices of procedures are quite high in comparison. The quality was diverse.
Late check out was not possible eventhough the hotel was not full.
The restaurant O Mase is quite nice, the food is really good and the service is customer oriented. At the reception the information was not provided that the kitchen closes one hour before the restaurant closes. One improvement point - not to set the breakfast when the restaurant is opened, it does not really feel comfortable for the quests.
Also they claim, that 99% of clients are happy, but nobody asked as for feedback and I could not find a way how to provide it through their official pages.

The information about access through Libusina street is not wrong. You can access hotel directly there. Unfortunately there is only temporary parking available and you have to park your car on our long term parking place. I admit its in poor condition now. Currently we are waiting for paperwork before our reconstruction of parking could be started.
Our internal review system works in a way that all clients we have an email are sent review request after their stay is over. We usually dont have emails on clients from our third party partners like Booking or Spa.cz. Unfortunately I dont have your name so u can check out where the problem with your rating email was. Reviews on other platforms (Google and Booking) on this hotel are overwhelmingly possitive.
I am very sorry that you didnt enjoy your stay fully and gave us only 3 star. Hope you give us other chance in the future

Awful Service Culture
It's clear that the owners spent a lot of money on the renovations - the rooms look brand new, the restaurant interior is well-furnished and the spa area is also expensively appointed.
What however was utterly lacking during our stay was even a modicum of customer service.
On arrival, I was made to feel extremely unwelcome - as a UK national living in Jersey, the receptionist was asking questions like, "Why doesn't your address country match your passport?" as though nobody ever lived outside their country of birth. She made a meal of copying out the details by hand, instead of taking a photo of my passport to enter the details later. This check-in took maybe 20 mins. I nearly walked out.
The room was nice, but as soon as we arrived we noticed it hadn't been prepared for our arrival - there was for example no toilet paper! Because there was no guide attached to the phone, this involved another trip downstairs to the unhelpful front desk.
Later problems with the room included it not being serviced on more than one occasion, even though we were careful to put the sign outside to tell them when we were not in residence. In Czech (at this hotel at least) it seems everthing is for the convenience of the staff, not the guests. We thus often didn't have fresh towels.
The spa was quite bizarre, too. In what one might imagine to be a fairly serene, relaxing environment, why did the staff need to use extremely noisy floor polishing equipment every 15 minutes? There were ordinary floor mops present that would have done just as good a job of drying the floor - but even when there were no other guests present, this process occurred. It made us have distinctly mixed feelings about visiting the pool area, even though that was the main reason we'd originally booked this hotel.
The health treatments were, in and of themselves, good and well delivered by the central staff, although there is a distinctly post-Communist feeling to the area where some of the treatments takes place, with pipes pinging and bonging with the fizzy water and a generally draughty environment that lacks the serenity of a top-class spa.
I don't know how disabled people would cope with this hotel since although there's a lift and the internal walkways have slopes, I didn't see a wheelchair slope up to the main entrance so how would they get in? For a therapeutic centre this seems like an oversight.
The restaurant was quite hilarious. The buffet that's available to guests that have pre-booked meals looks like something I haven't seen since my school days - stainless steel boxes without a hint of finesse. Again not really what I was expecting from the hotel that's supposedly at the top of the "food chain" in Podebrady. Furthermore, the staff were studious in their avoidance of eye contact or indeed any form of contact with the guests. On one occasion when I was trying to order drinks, there were four waitresses at the bar chatting but not one looked out over the room to check if any guest needed help. Indeed when it came time to pay our bill one evening, not a single staff member was in sight so we walked out. It was with much relief the following morning that a waitress saw us return to breakfast and offer to pay for the previous evening!
If you're looking for a high-class, relaxing, welcoming stay, this is NOT your place.

Our wellness are cleaned regularly with proper equipment, but not every 15 minutes.
We are sorry you didnt enjoy our treatment area. It was completely redesigned and we are nominated for several hotel and design prizes in czech republic and united kingdom.
Our facility was inspected by czech goverment and we had to follow strict european rules about slopes, so wheelchair users should have no problem to enjoy our Hotel.
We are also sorry you didn't enjoy our restaurant. We may had not our best day, but we think that walk out withoup payment is never an option for a good guest. We are also sorry you didnt enjoy our buffet service, but stainless steel boxes are probably only option for this kind of service if you want to follow high standard of hygiene.
We want everyone to loeave our facilities fully satisfied, and we are very glad, that from our own questionaires and public reviews on google and booking, our hotel is very highly rated. We admit that sometimes we can have problems in our restaurant, since gastronomy is hardest task in our hospitality task.
We are very sorry for your overall negative experience in our hotel, but also we feel at least part of your complaints are not fair.
