A large house in a beautiful park, very accessible from everywhere with public transport
The welcome is very pleasant, in French. The room was offered in advance of the scheduled time and we appreciated this gesture. We stayed 4 nights. The room is welcoming. The view is nice. The breakfast buffet is of very good quality.

Beautiful hotel in the former listed mission building in the middle of Basel
We used to call it "Mission 21", the Hotel Odelya, and I always went there for conferences without staying overnight. This time I stayed overnight and was amazed at the renovation of the additional building.
But let's start from the beginning: The Hotel Odelya is located at Missionsstrasse 21 (hence Mission 21), a few steps from Basel's Spalentor and thus from the beautiful old town, in the middle of a wonderful garden that invites you to sit outside in the summer. The hotel belongs to the Basel Mission. The main building houses the reception, a few meeting rooms and the rooms. The building is a listed building and has been gently renovated. This has been done very well, especially in the rooms on the ground floor. In the corridors of the hotel on the upper floors with the carpets, it looks a bit old. The rooms are very spacious and simple and try to maintain a mixture of modern and traditional. I really appreciated the large bathroom and the bottles of mineral water, which have been replaced, in the rooms. The rooms also have everything you need. I also thought it was great that you get the Baselcard when you check in, which you can use to use public transport. There is also good parking, even if the price is quite reasonable at CHF 22 per day. The generous breakfast buffet is included in the price, so the price-performance ratio is very good.
The restaurant is in a building next to the main building, which has apparently been renovated in recent years and new meeting rooms have been added. This modern building is very stylish and the conference rooms are very nice. We were provided with coffee, fruit and sweets throughout the conference. The food was very good overall. I think the hotel is ideal for conferences, and due to its location and value for money, I would definitely recommend it for a city trip.

A calm and peaceful oasis in the city where you will feel very at ease
So pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It felt more like a guest house than a hotel, but very spacious and it felt really peaceful and relaxing to stay there. The staff were calm and polite but also very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and the room had everything I needed. I’ll definitely stay here again if I return to Basel. Thanks to all the lovely staff.

Historic Basel Hotel in a spectacular setting
It is a traditional hotel, very representative of the Basel area. They do not speak Spanish. But they make it cool to understand English. Comfortable, spacious rooms, and very good breakfast. 3 blocks from the beginning of the historic center of Basel and 2 blocks from the bus that takes you from the airport. Very good experience

We visited the Odelya in Basel for a professional event.
We were very happy with everything, the food was very good, the rooms were nice, clean and stylish, the location was ideal and the service was attentive and friendly.
